About

About the blog. Well, I grew up in a region called Southern Tagalog (in a small town called Nagcarlan), south of Metro Manila. It's a rustic municipality at the foot of Mount Banahaw with around 60,000 inhabitants.

I loved spending summer breaks there when I was young; just enjoying warm afternoons when the breeze whispers cool nothings to anyone who cared to listen. Nature's happy disposition soothes the body and and nurtures the soul.

In contrast to the hot summer nights and flood-filled streets of the city, where I spend most of my time these days, its simplicity reaches out to touch the heart of those sensitive enough to sense its gentle charm.

I have a soft-spot for the quiet, simple life of the province, yet eager to explore the modern rush of the urban jungle.

Ramblings From A Southern Tagalog Native contain pieces I've written on random topics, such as The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective PeopleOn Visiting The Manila Cathedral and Four Elements Of A Winning Job Interview. As you can see, it's an eclectic array of  posts.

I write stuff related to my experiences: places I've visited, stuff I've read, my suggestions to increase one's chances of topping a job interview, writing, how to make money from the internet, etc.

Admittedly, it's a work in progress; I update posts occasionally. You are most welcome to drop by anytime, so share your thoughts and join in the conversation.

All the best,
Roms
